taylor swift's folklore-inspired crochet bag | free pattern + video tutorial


Hi everyone! These are the reference notes for my folklore-inspired bag featured in episode 2 of my new bags series. Please refer to the youtube tutorial for a demonstration and in-depth explanations of front post/back post stitches.

Abbreviations/terminology

dc - double crochet / fptc - front post triple crochet / bpdc - back post double crochet

Front piece

Make a slip knot, chain 35, skip 3 chains (these 3 chains count as 1 dc), dc into the 4th chain, dc into every chain (total 33 dc stitches including the chain 3)

- To start a new row: always chain 1 & turn your work, then dc into the 1st stitch NOT the chain 1

Right/front side

Dc 2, 6 fptc (456123), dc 11, 4 fptc (3412), dc 2, 6 fptc (456123), dc 2

Wrong/back side

Dc 2, 6 bpdc (123456), dc 2, 4 bpdc (1234), dc 11, 6 bpdc (123456), dc 2
