how to crochet a cute swan | amigurumi tutorial and free pattern!

Hi everyone! I'm so happy you're here to crochet this Jellycat-inspired swan with me :) Please note that this is a slightly intermediate-level amigurumi pattern, so you need to be familiar with crocheting in rounds. But if you're confused at any step, you can watch the video demonstrations from my youtube tutorial.

If you’re not sure what yarn to use, click this link which will lead you to my amazon storefront where I’ve added the yarns and other materials I used!

Abbreviations:
sc - single crochet / ss - slip stitch / increase or inc - 2 sc in the same stitch (increases stitch count by 1) / sc2tog - sc 2 stitches together / decrease or dc - invisible decrease to reduce the stitch count by 1 (insert your hook through the front loop, then the front of the next stitch, yarn over pull through 2 loops, then yarn over pull through 2 loops again)
Start all the pieces of the swan with a real OR fake magic ring (chain 1 doesn’t count as a stitch)…

Part 1: Body

Round 1 - 8 sc
Round 2 - inc in every stitch (16)
Round 3 - repeat [1 sc, inc] (24)
