1. Bow envelope pouch

This design doesn't have much of a pattern since most of the instructions after the granny square is complete require video demonstrations, but here's a few notes...

Step 1 - crochet a solid granny square from rounds 1 to 7 by following this video tutorial and written pattern. Chain 1 and fasten off once you're done.

Step 2 - attach the border color with a knot in any stitch and chain 1. Insert 1 sc in every stitch all around the square + 3 sc in every chain 2 space.

Step 3 - crochet a small bow to act as a closure for your pouch (you can also use a button or make other small charms like a heart or star). Make a slip knot and chain 40-60 then fasten off - tighten the ends to make sure it doesn't unravel and trim the ends. Tie the long chain into a bow.

Step 4 - fold the square into an envelope shape and sew the sides closed. Then, sew the bow into the centre and you're done!

2. Mini case (perfect for storing your airpods or headphones + it also works as a bag charm)

Step 1 - crochet 2 small basic granny squares following the pattern below...

Round 1 - make a magic ring and chain 3 (counts as your 1st dc), insert 2 dc, repeat 3 times *chain 2, 3 dc*, chain 2 then slip stitch into the 3rd chain to end this round. Chain 1 and fasten off.

Round 2 - attach the next color with a knot in any chain 2 space. Chain 3 (counts as your 1st dc), in the same chain 2 space *2 dc, chain 2, 3 dc*, repeat 3 times *chain 1, in the next chain 2 space - 3 dc, chain 2, 3 dc*, chain 1 and slip stitch into the 3rd chain. Chain 1 and fasten off.

Round 3 - attach the next color with a knot in any chain 2 space. Chain 3 (counts as your 1st dc), in the same chain 2 space *2 dc, chain 2, 3 dc*, repeat 3 times *chain 1, 3 dc in the chain 1 space, chain 1, in the chain 2 space - 3 dc, chain 2, 3 dc*, chain 1, 3 dc in the last chain 1 space, chain 1 and slip stitch into the 3rd chain. Chain 1 and fasten off.

Step 2 - place the squares wrong sides facing outwards and attach the yarn with a knot in the top chain 2 space, then ss into every stitch to join 3 sides together (leave the top side open!)

Step 3 - turn your work inside out then insert 1 sc into every stitch around the top until you reach the middle of the 1st square, chain 3, skip 3 stitches, sc into every stitch until you reach the middle dc of the 2nd square, ss into the middle dc, chain the length you want for the clasp, ss back into the middle dc, sc into every stitch until you reach where you started, ss into the 1st sc and chain 1 to fasten off.

Chain 2, insert 1 dc into every stitch and chain 1 space, ss into the 1st dc to end this round. Chain 1 and fasten off.
